The utility-terrain vehicle (UTV) and all-terrain vehicle (ATV) market is seeing growing demand for everyday vehicles that are suitable for use on farms, fields, forests and open space work and leisure activities.
However, against the grain of environmental initiatives, the vast majority of Quads, ATVs and UTVs are imported and powered by petrol/diesel engines with no coherent UK or European 'green vehicles for green spaces' strategy. As a result, there's a huge demand for the provision of electric vehicle replacements - a demand that Pulse EV intends to supply.
Over the past 2 years, Pulse EV has conducted privately funded research and development into a compact, modular electronic drive system - the core of any future small form-factor off-road EV.
Our advanced research continues with a plan to formally launch an all-electric off-road vehicle range in Autumn 2023.
Starting with a clean sheet, we're creating the next generation of ATVs with electric drive system modularity and enhanced safety at the heart of the Pulse EV build strategy.
Our clean sheet design approach allows us to ensure Pulse EV vehicles will be well balanced, provide the opportunity to upgrade power output and be easy to maintain.
Pulse EV will offer semi-autonomous (ATV and UTV) and fully autonomous (eTrack) versions, via key partnerships and implementation of our motor control software.
As a modular flat-floor platform, eTrack will be offered in a variety of automated formats, allowing vehicle modification specialists to tailor the chassis to meet a wide range of remotely operated and fully autonomous requirements.
Pulse EV will ensure extensive safety measures are in place via our meticulous design standards. Customers will also be able to benefit from industry standard safety features utilised in on-road vehicles such as ultrasonic or Lidar-enabled crash avoidance, algorithmic derived tilt and roll warnings.
Plus, for remote or distance workers especially, Over The Air (OTA) vehicle connectivity can actively assist in guiding a vehicle home in the event of bad weather or a driver/rider injury.
